Question: How do I enter corporate actions when setting up a new account.
I entered the first account, added the symbols and the appropriate Buys, as well as adding the appropriate corporate events (splits). This first account showed the appropriate number of shares.

However, when I entered a second account, added the appropriate Buys on the same symbol as above, the corporate events were not applied. This Buy was dated before the splits, the symbol shows the appropriate corporate events, and the Apply CA tab is grayed out.

I attempted to check if corporate events was turned on, as suggested by the help manual, but it no longer is listed under Properties.

How can I show the corporate events occurring in the second account?

Answer:
Corporate actions are designed to run after transaction information has been entered. This means it is best to enter trades into all accounts in TAPro and then run corporate actions. Here are a few ideas that are helpful when managing corporate actions.

1. If you have already enter a corporate action and need to undo the work, you can select File/Export/Corporate Actions to create a file with the events so you don't have to enter them again. Once you have your date in TAPro you can then select File/Import/Corporate Actions and TAPro will apply the corporate actions again.

2. If you have applied corporate actions you can remove them from the menu Edit/Symbols - Corporate Actions.

3. You can also export transactions to a file or create a backup file that you can import again later.
