Regarding: Name Change to Symbols due to Right

Question:
"I have been using trade accountant for a few years but sometimes I encounter a situation that I don't know how to handle. I had two positions: one a stock CLWR that was converted to CLWRR- it says due to rights distribution and another one associated with the same underlier stock that was converted from QCWAU became YCJAU.

Could you please help me. I bought 2 calls of QCWAU and sold it as YCJAU so when I reconcile YCJAU is ungrouped sell, meanwhile today QCWAU appears as expired today."
"

Answer:
In a case like this the trick is matching the like names. Before applying a change use File/Save As Backup. Then you can rename the old name to match the new name so the opening and closing trades have the same name. It seems that you already have the new names in TA. Otherwise add them by using Edit/Symbols/Add Modify.

Then use Edit/Rename Change Name to select the old symbols and rename them to the new names.
