Regarding: Scottrade Import (.txf vs. .QIF)

Customer: It appears that Scottrade only proved a file in TXF format. ... Scottrade does not provide an Excel format. I am hoping that you can help.

Support: .txf files are reports. To calculate a report in TAPro, transactions are required. Scottrade offers a .QIF file with transactions. TAPro can import the file using File/Import/File. Scottrade also does not include the commission in the Amount, but you may want to include this. During import TA will offer to recalculate the Amount and include the commission or you can recalculate the Price and keep the Amount unchanged. That is a user choice during import. It seems you would want to recalculate the Amount to account for commission. In this case do the following:

1. File/Import/File
2. Follow the instructions until you get to the "Recalculate missing or inconsistent data fields" dialog
3. In the "Apply" area of the dialog: Select "Recalculate all transactions"
4. In the "Correction" area of the dialog: Select "Recalculate the Amount..."
5. Select Ok.
