I want to send Schedule D tax reports as email attachments to my accountant as seen and laid out in Tax Reports menu or as in "Print Preview" . If I try to send the report as a csv file it only shows the transactions and does not give account details, gain/loss etc. as shown in "Print Preview". Can you please give me some guidance on this matter. The objective is for my accountant to easily and quickly incorporate the reports when preparing my personal tax reports.
An accountant's ease of usage depends on their tax software. There is an add on utility that allows printing as a .pdf. Please visit this link if you don't already have a .pdf printing solution installed. These come in very handy because then you can use any program to print to .pdf and it creates a file that you can email.
Also your tax adviser may want the data form the Schedule D. For this use File/Export/To Tax Software. Then select one of the report formats.
Also use File/Export/Groups to create a .csv file of the gain/loss report.
