Regarding: "5. Corporate Actions" Reconciliation Tab is Yellow, Why

Question/Comment:
================================================================
I can't reconcile the corporate events. Has a yellow error but says there are no corporate events. When i go to show details there is no action to take and I can't go any further since I have a red error in my gain loss report. All the other tabs are green. I have tried to go to help but cannot understand it at all.

Answer:

If all other tabs are Green except tab 7. Gain/Loss then tab 5. Corporate Actions is set to yellow as a possible reason. We recommend focusing on all other tabs first. As an alternative you can look at tab 7. Gain/Loss summary and see if it accounts for your 1099 sales. If it does then you can likely ignore getting all of the tab to green.

During reconciliation we typically start in the transaction screen and confirm if the sales all total matches the 1099. Then we look at the tax report to see if the same number appears in the sales column(s). If there are short sales then we look at the reconciliation tool tab 7 to explain the differences.
