Regarding: Editing Symbols and Expire Dates

The broker controls the data available to TA. Sync is a way to get data into TA with a few mouse clicks. The data typically includes the expire date for options for the past 12 months. We are interested in supporting sync if the broker is interested. Here is a list of broker that have provided helpful information:

Also if you can get an MS Money files TA can also read that file and it contains expiration data. This will save you from having to manually create the data. Alternatively you can manually add an expiration data and strike price using one of these methods:

Manual Symbol Edit (if you have a few):
1. Select Edit/Symbol(s) - Add/Modify
2. Find the symbol
3. Select the Edit radio button from the top of the dialog
4. Add the expiration data and strike price

Manual Symbol Import(if you have many):
1. Select File/Export/Symbol Details
2. Locate the file and open it in excel or some other editor
3. Edit the Expire dates
4. Save the file as .csv
5. Import the file using File/Import/Symbol Details
